So today I learned something shocking. Apparently the makers of Disney movies really are perverts. In the Little Mermaid, when the priest is marrying Prince Eric and the disguised Ursula, he has an erection. yup. and erection. just wonderful. what is this world coming to, when cartoons are so vile.
anyways, onto better things. Last night I finished my copy of "A Great and Terrible Beauty". It was so good! i noticed that there was a sequel to it and was quite depressed, because I knew it would be some time before I could get my hands on it. But hen, the luckiest of things happened! I was carrying it around school with me, and Chelsie Lewis saw that I had it. She said to me "Oh, isn't that a good book!" I said "YES!" then she asked me if I had the sequel and I said that I didn't. She told me she had it and I could borrow it! So now I have the sequel and I've started it and i am already on chapter 6 or something.
Other than that, nothing of note really happened today at all. I am counting down the days until Grey's Anatomy. le sigh.

COLD! SO COLD! Maine can be such a burden. but i love it. especially when you do fuin things like take skating lessons! I'm so excited cause I learned something new today. I learned who to turn from moving forward to moving backwards by spinning halfway around. Not very exciting, but to me it is the first step to learning more exciting stuff! oh yea, made this really amazing icon today, using a tutorial for the coloring over at http://community.livejournal.com/icon_tutorial/

WE WON! Hall-Dale's girls' basketball team is the Western Class C Champs! We beat Dirigo and now we're going to States! This is so exciting. It's like last year when the boys team went to states.
So in other news, I had an alumni interview with a Brown Alumni today at the B&N café. It went well, as expected. I mean, it's not like the lady was going to think I was some awful person and write to the school really bad things about me....or at leats I hope she won't, lol.
After that we all went to eat at Panera, (said hey to will who works there), and went to see Firewall at the cinema. It was a very good movie, though I don't like seeing Paul Bettany as the bad guy. He seems to much of a happy person to be bad. Though, he's going to play another bad guy in the DaVinci Code. Can't wait to see that one.
Other than that, i'm just exhausted and need to get to bed already. ^_^

*yawn* just got up about a half hour ago. what's in store for today i wonder. It's a beautiful day out. the sun is out and it's not that cold outside, considering it's winter in Maine.
So today I'm supposed to hang out with Corey and Danielle. whether together or seperate is in debate. Corey got his wisdom teeth out and is on vicodin and needs some company. I told him we'd have a Grey's Anatomy-athon. ^_^ aren't I generous :P
Then Danielle mentioned she has an appt. in town so we can hang out for a while. Plus she wants some of the choco-ship coookies I made with Stephanie yesterday, lol. So there's always the possibility that we both go over to visit Corey.
Anyways, i should probably eat something. *looks down at hungry stomach* the beast is growling at me :P And i don't mena the beast mentioned in Grey's Anatomy, you dirty minded folks! hehehe

So, it's been a little while. don't like Fena anymore. I'm so 'effin fickle i can't stand myself.
Anyways. my new obsession is Grey's Anatomy. I can't get enough of that show. EVER. And i simply love Meredith/Derek and Cristina/Burke. *sigh*
In other news, I got accepted to Ithaca (w/ scholarship), UMO, and Stonybrook University. Seeing as I applied to 19 colleges (go ahead and gasp, everyone does), i'm hoping to hear from some more eventually. Senior year is so scary.
btw, anyone like my new Rory/Jess layout? I simply adore Milo Ventimiglia.

wow. it's um *cough* been a while. I haven't updated since Steph's party. Not that anyone notices so I don't feel so horrible about it.
So, what's happening with me... well, alot, but not alot, ya know? There's a new love interest in my life. He's the most adorable person I have ever met in my entire life, and he's also from Santiago, Chile. His name is Fernando, but everyone just calls him Fena. (to those who go to school with me, yes, i have a crush on Fena) What's not to like? Thinking about him is making me smile right now :D
that's a picture of him from homecoming *smile* isn't he the cutest?
So hmm, what else is new? OH YEA! I got my braces off! I have shiny new pearly whites! no metal in the mouth! :P I don't have a picture of them to put up, but when I get one I'll put it up so everyone can see! ^_^
I don't really know what to write about right now, because I'm so full of Fena right now that if I tried to write about anything all i'd do is just babble on about him (sorta like now). well other than that, i guess i'll just say that if you want to know more about something then you'll just have to ask me, i'm too scatterbrained right now

Wow, I just had a really great day! It was Stephanie's birthday party, so we went to the Kennebec Ice Arena. It was a blast! It had to ave been about two years since I'd been ice skating, because I don't think I skated at all last year. They have free skate from 1-3 on sunday's and I'd really like to go again next week. Then when the lake freezes over we can hose it down and skate on that.
I'm also really excited because I made prgress on skating backwards! Ever since I was little I have tried to skate backwards every year and then given up. this time I'd really like to keep it up and maybe actually learn this year.
after the skating we went up in the rrom above the ice reserved for us and had cake and watced Steph open her presents.
Oh I almost forgot! We saw a bunch of people we knew at the ice rink. It was Padric, Ruby, Tyler, and the three exchange students: Feña, Krissy, and Francesca. It was so cute to watch Feña and Krissy learn how to skate! but i was really impressed because by the end of the Free Skate they were doing so well. Anyways, I'm really exhausted so I think I'll go lay down for a bit.

Ground rules: The first player of this "game" starts with the topic "Five Weird Habits of Yourself" and the people who get tagged need to then write a LJ entry about their five quirky little habits as well as state the rules of this game clearly. In the end, you need to list the next five people who you want to tag, and then go on to leave a tag comment on their LJ.
1. I cannot sleep with socks on, ever. If I have socks on i will lay awake for hours trying to figure out why I can't fall asleep. then i'll take my socks off and be out in 5 minutes
2. When I eat candy, crackers, or other bite size foods, I eat them in pairs. If they are flavored I have to eat them by pairs of the flavor, or with a flavor that matches (ex. Skittles - a yellow and green=lemon-lime)
3. I watch General Hospital religiously at 3:00 every weekday. (along with 4 other Primetime shows)
4. When I am nervous or not feeling well, laying on the floor helps me relax. It's very calming.
5. When I sleep, I have to have either a really heavy blanket or none at all. I can NOT sleep with just a sheet, it's way too light.

Wow, I think I kind of suck at this whole LiveJournal thing now. IO can't seem to keep it steady for a while. I'll just have to try extra hard. Anyways, I probably shouldn't even be on the computer because I have a ton of stuff to do this week. I have play rehearsal every night this week for three hours and the show is on Friday and Saturday. Saturday morning I have SAT's again, Sunday is Stephanie's birthday (I don't have a present), And this week is the last in the trimester so I have to get in any makeup work by Friday. And to top it all off I haven't had the time to watch GH in around 2 1/2 weeks. I'm about ready to tear my hair out.
The good news is that after this week I will have a much lower rating on the Stress Scale. No more play, no more SAT's, new trimester, relaxing time. *sigh* I can't wait. Although then there's always the Christmas rush. I have to shop for presents and even make a few. gah.
Well, hopefully I'll have enough free time to keep this updated. I've been so horrible lately. I give you all permission to punish me. But not too harshly.

*sigh* it's just one of those days. I got the day off from my boss for today, randomly. She turned to me and said I could have to day off if I wanted cause she needed to come in and it would be pointless to have three people working. I know she probably just didn't want to have to pay me if I was useless, but I wasn't about to complain. Plus I have homework to do.
Speaking of which I have to see if I can get up to the school and get my binders and such. I have a French story due tomorrow and I left the work up there. I'll be in deep shit if I don't get this done.
So I started to wonder...do alot of people from Livejournal have a MySpace, too? I mean, I know that I have both, but I never thought about whether or not my other LJ friends had them as well. If you do have one, and you're my friend, lemme know so I can add you. I love adding new people. Well, as for now I have to go figure out a way to break into the school.

I have homecoming pictures! Taken by my dear sister herself. I regret to say that they are only pre-homecoming pictures, cause I didn't have a camera at the dance. I'll try and get some pictures fomr the dance from others though so you can see how pretty all my other friends looked.

I had such a great time that night and I <i>loved</i> my dress. There were alot more really pretty dresses at the dance too; I really liked Kayla's. For those of you who are seeing pictures of me for the first time - there I am :P Simple little me.

I finally got my homecoming dress! a week before homecoming and not a moment too soon. I thought I would never get one in time. And the greatest thing is that it's brown! Brown is one of the colors that flatters me, but it was never very 'in' to wear it, i think people thought it made you look like poop or something. Well brown is very very 'in' this year which means that it is everywhere, so I had the oppotunity to get a brown dress.
In other news, no one but my family read my Shasta trip story, so I guess I won't be reposting that. Too bad really, the next installments would be the juiciest.
Well, I need to go have some R&R cause I've been on my feet all day and they are killing me.

*sigh* I feel as if there is nothing of extreme importance to report. Life goes on much as it has (scarcely aware of the existence of Hobbits). sleep, school, homework, TV, sleep, etc... how dull. yet there are millions of tiny things coming up here and there that may have some significance to me and not much to anyone else, and are therefore not worth mentioning.
So even though there is an apparent lack of news, I felt like typing something. So if you are willing to read the exciting events of my week in Shasta that resulted in me taking a month vacation from Livejournal then you can go ahead and ( click the button )
So that's the first installment on the incredibly long tale of Shasta '05. If you actually read that entire thing and you want me to post the next (and def more exciting) entry, let me know by posting a comment. If I find there's no interest in the rest of the story I guess I won't post another. Anways, Alias is about to premiere and I must watch.
Oh yea, and today I started to think about Rexis as I was looking at all the icons I have of them, and almost started crying. I miss them. how pathetic.

I'M BAAAACK! or at least i'm going to try to be, lol. I really fell off the wagon after my vacation to Shasta. So much happened on that trip, I can't even begin to tell it all. I would be talking for two days at least, lol. To make it all VERY short: There was romance, betrayal, hurt, laughter, and all around good times: everything needed to make out very own soap opera, lol.
Which by the way, I HATE Reese! grah! she needs to stay away form Ric and then just go die! *finishes random outburst*
I have alot of work to do now though...catching up on everyone, especially Michy! I haven't talked to you in forever! it makes me super sad, we need to talk sometime :P
